Pearson House originally opened in 1926 is a heritage building purpose-built residence for blind men located in Titoki street, Parnell. The neo-georgian building which holds deep historical and social significance facing the Auckland domain consists of a main block with two short wings, joined by an impressive front colonnade. As part of refurbishment works, careful consideration was given in order to preserve the historical and architectural significance and also meet the current building code regulations. The building services design involved meticulous approach which respects historical significance while embracing modern and energy efficient solutions.
